Focus and Scope

New Horizons for Learning is an international network of people, programs, and products dedicated to successful, innovative learning.  We welcome submissions from teachers, researchers, parents, students, museum directors or guides, librarians, administrators, policy makers, neuroscientists, economists, sociologists, statisticians, education non-profits, and anyone else interested in learning. Article topics for our Quarterly Journal are open to any subject relevant to the field of education.

Collaboration among all education professionals is a key mission of New Horizons for Learning. Possible submissions include academic articles, lesson plans, rubrics, assessments, experiments, student work examples, and any other materials that will encourage collaboration and growth. The purpose of this site is to provide a forum that will facilitate an open dialogue between researchers and front-line professionals. Any articles or projects that were inspired by information from the New Horizons for Learning journal or Web site are especially encouraged. Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis for review by our editors.

Peer Review Process

New Horizons for Learning is a peer review journal, but does not send out blind reviews. A member of the NHFL review board will be sent an article for review. The reviewer will make recommendations to the editors who make the final decision on acceptance and publication.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
